If you participate as an author in this year's book signing, ASALH will showcase your work on the  ASALH Bookshelf at www.asalh.org ?

Your book title will be listed in the Annual ASALH Convention Souvenir Journal, which is circulated to colleges and universities as well as other ASALH partners. The souvenir journal is also posted on the ASALH website.  

The $40 registration fee gives you access to over 1,000 attendees specifically waiting to hear from authors like you.

Spaces for the Authors' Book signing fill quickly, so don't wait. Completed applications will be considered on a first come first serve basis.

DEADLINE TO APPLY: July 12, 2013

Completed Applications Require ALL of the following:
  1. Completed Request Form (additional pages if necessary)

The Author's Book Signing will take place on Thursday, October 3, 2013, as part of the 98th Annual ASALH Convention, October 2-6, 2013, in Jacksonville, Florida. The event is open to the public and will be held in the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront.  

Our annual meeting is an occasion to share the cultural and historical contributions by people of African descent. Attendees from across the nation and around the world will convene to explore the 2013 National Black History theme: "At the Crossroads of Freedom and Equality: The Emancipation Proclamation and the March on Washington."

With more than 100 panels featuring prominent figures in Black cultural studies, as well as scholars and students from all disciplines and ages, the ASALH Convention presents an optimal opportunity for you to present your research and current projects, as well as learn about some of the other leading projects in the field of African American History.

We hope that you can participate.  We are waiting to hear from you.
